Recovery Coach

Breaking Free from Addiction

Are you struggling with the overwhelming challenges of addiction, feeling trapped and unsure where to turn? Do you find yourself asking: Why is recovery so hard? How can I break free from this cycle? Is there a different type of support available for me?

As a Recovery Coach, I help individuals fill in that missing piece – guidance in navigating the complexities of recovery. The recovery journey is full of questions and uncertainties; we need a solid ground to stand on. But where and how do we find that solid ground? That’s where the power of direction comes in from someone who has gone through what you have been going through but is also aided by coaching practices and the wisdom of an ancient Buddhist background.

You're Not Alone in Your Struggle

Feeling isolated in the difficulties of dealing with addiction is a shared experience. You are not alone in this. Addiction touches the lives of millions, and many of us face similar challenges. You are now aware of at least one Buddhist novice monk who grew up on the other side of the world and struggled with addiction. Let alone 8.5 million American adults dealing with both a mental health disorder and a substance use disorder. To put it simply, a significant number of us share the challenges of addiction. But here's the pivotal point – there is hope.

Picture this journey with me as your dedicated Recovery Coach walking alongside you. Together, your life from the clutches of addiction can be reclaimed. After all, recovery is a shared experience; realizing you're not alone becomes the cornerstone of the healing process.

But You May Still Be Unsure if This is For You…

I'm Concerned About the Financial Aspect of Coaching

Financial considerations are valid, and it's essential that you feel comfortable with the investment you're making in your recovery. Working with a coach can be considered as an investment in your future—a way to break free from the challenges hindering your personal growth. What you would be investing in is yourself—strengthening the parts that need guidance and support. Adding the focus of Buddhist Life Coaching as an investment doesn’t take away from something else; it will enhance every aspect of your life as a whole because the commitment here is to better yourself. This type of care and guidance permeates to improve your quality of life physically, mentally, and spiritually. Very few things have such a high return on investment when applied to your mind, body, and daily life.

I'm Unsure If Sober Coaching Will Be Effective for Me

It's completely natural to have reservations about whether coaching will be the right fit for you. We can address this concern by acknowledging that everyone's journey is not exactly the same. My approach is carefully tailored to your specific needs, with a unique focus on Buddhist principles, and I'm fully committed to understanding the challenges you face. To alleviate any uncertainty, I offer an initial consultation to discuss your goals, concerns, and how the coaching process can specifically benefit you. This way, you can gain clarity on how coaching aligns with your aspirations before making a commitment.

I've Tried Other Approaches Before, and Nothing Has Worked

If you've experienced disappointment with previous attempts to address your challenges, it's understandable to be cautious. My coaching approach is designed to be adaptable and personalized, focusing on identifying strategies that resonate with your unique situation. Together, new perspectives and techniques can be explored – insights that may not have been part of past approaches, including taking responsibility for what you do have control of. The goal is to tailor our sessions to align with your needs and preferences, offering a fresh perspective and increasing the likelihood of sustainable positive change.

What makes this approach different from traditional recovery methods?

Our approach combines traditional recovery techniques with the deep, introspective practices of Theravada Buddhism, offering a more holistic and self-reflective path to recovery. Mindfulness will be a focal point, as it helps in recognizing and managing triggers, reducing stress, and fostering emotional balance, which is essential in overcoming addiction. Most importantly, the approaches offered here are strongly upheld by the “Four Foundations Of Mindfulness,” which is the authentic source of mindfulness practices originating in ancient Buddhism.

Can I integrate these practices with other recovery programs?

Absolutely. Our mindfulness and Buddhist-based approach complements and enhances other recovery programs, providing additional personal growth and sobriety tools. No prior experience in mindfulness or knowledge of Buddhism is required. Our coaching is designed to be accessible and relevant to individuals from all backgrounds. Many clients see other practitioners here for an integrative approach to healing, which is why our practice is called a Collective!

Your Success is Within Reach

While every individual's journey is unique, my experience and track record as a recovery coach speaks to my commitment and effectiveness The heart of our teaching is based on the Four Foundations of Mindfulness, helping you understand the transient, unsatisfactory, and impersonal nature of addictive behaviors. This understanding fosters a deeper connection with yourself and a healthier relationship with external triggers.

Tailored Guidance for Lasting Recovery

What sets me apart is not just my background of growing up as a Buddhist in Burma and the novice monkhood experience but the personalized approach I bring to every client. This isn’t really a typical and predictable approach to addiction treatment and recovery. Drawing from my own sobriety journey and expertise, I offer a unique perspective that resonates with those seeking a compassionate and understanding guide on their path to recovery through the Buddhist lens. Our sessions encourage self-discovery and inner growth. One skill set learned will be silence meditation. This practice, devoid of external guidance, allows you to connect with your inner strength and resilience, which is crucial for overcoming addiction. It may feel uncomfortable or even impossible now, but it will lead to a gift of serenity and recovery. You'll learn various meditation techniques, including breath-focused and body-based practices, to aid in managing stress and building emotional resilience.
